This short, portraying the crushing pain of sudden death, is an attempt at producing a film entirely by myself. From conceiving to shooting to acting to editing, it was done alone. The story was inspired by a friend who endured the loss of her husband with no warning. Her heart was dragging beneath her the day of the funeral, but she was strong and collected until every last person was gone; only then did she break down. This is my interpretation of where she found the strength. The music was shared by my son, composer, Sean Thornton, who allowed me to use a combination of pieces he'd written for the documentary, My Left Hand.
My take-away from producing the project, my kingdom for a cast and crew!

Susan Stark, you rock. I so needed your film to find some inner reserves.
